EPC's For Commercial Property
With new regulations now in force relating to commercial property sales and lettings, Edgeworth Street Chartered Building Surveyors are now able to conduct energy surveys and issue Energy Performance Certificates for commercial buildings.
At present, only buildings over 100,000 square metres being for offered for sale or to let need an energy performance certificate.
The energy performance certificate needs to be in place prior to the property being marketed.
Certain buildings are exempt from having an energy performance certificate, including places of worship, temporary buildings in use for less than 2 years and other.
Existing tenancies are not affected in any way as the Energy Performance in Buildings Directive (EPBD) affects only newly built commercial properties and those being placed for sale or lease.
For more information, please contact Edgeworth Street Chartered Building Surveyors on 0121 733 8686 or visit their web site at http://www.edgeworth-street.co.uk.
